Conservation, Community and Wildlife Tourism The Chalk & Hawks Project was started in 2003 to benefit nature conservation, local people and visitors to the Chalk and Cheese Area in Dorset. One of our guiding principles is that nature conservation should benefit local communities and increase the enjoyment of visitors to the countryside. To this end we are working with farmers, landowners and accommodation providers in the Chalk and Cheese area to run wildlife tours and events at some of the best sites in the area. Whether you are a visitor to Dorset or a local, you are very welcome to come along. As well as getting privileged access to the Dorset countryside, any money you spend here will be contributing to the future security of it's wildlife. |
