Aims

•  To bring people closer to wildlife using innovative methods of interpretation such as audio-visual technology
•  To support nature conservation with special emphasis on birds of prey as flagship species
•  To demonstrate that nature conservation can be of economic value to farmers, landowners and tourism / accommodation providers
•  To involve local communities in practical conservation and population monitoring of birds of prey

•  Local people who want to help conserve birds of prey



What we do

  Guided wildlife walks and extended tours using audio-visual equipment to see and hear wildlife in new close-up ways. (e.g. secret cameras to watch nesting birds and night vision equipment for watching, bats and badgers).
  Installation of high-tech wildlife-watching equipment (e.g. wildlife cameras, control systems and viewing screens).
  Demonstrations of specialist wildlife surveying such as bird ringing, small mammal and moth trapping.
•  ‘Have-a-go' sessions such as wildlife sound recording, radio tracking, moth trapping, nest box building and ‘bush-craft'
•  Offer advise on conservation measures for birds of prey.

•  Installation and monitoring of nest boxes for birds of prey, especially barn owls and kestrels (species in decline)
